1:30-3:30pm            Inmate Communications 101 Seminar

                                       (Coronado K Room)

 

          This session will provide a complete overview of the Inmate Communications market and the opportunity it provides for PSPs to generate substantial additional revenues.  David Cotton, President of the Southern Public Communications Association, and a seasoned veteran of the inmate business will be the special presenter for this informative session.  Topics will include getting started in the business, prospecting and evaluating locations, choosing a vendor/supplier, types of calls and how they are handled, billing options, commissioning considerations, features that law enforcement consider to be key, and other important information about this business.  There will also be a Q&A session to cover your questions.  Vendors will be available to discuss/demonstrate their inmate products & services during the Tabletop Expo later in the day.

 

3:30-5:00pm            Best “Other” Business Opportunities for PSPs

          This session will provide real world information and insights into other diversified businesses that are making ‘dollars & sense” for PSPs in today’s challenging marketplace.  These will include presentations on: Air/Vac services, Credit Card Processing services, Water Vending services and other related business opportunities that are working today for our industry members.  You will learn about what’s involved in getting into these businesses and what you need to know to succeed in your diversification efforts.  Presentations will be made by leading vendors and providers that have the expertise, knowledge and experience –and want to share it with you.  Q&A sessions will provide you with the answers to your most pressing questions about these allied business opportunities.

 

5:00-7:00pm            Tabletop Trade Expo & Industry Reception

          Come and see all the latest products & services from the industry’s top vendors—including payphone related services, inmate products, and other diversified services. 7:00-8:30pm            FPTA General Membership Meeting

 

          Learn about all of the most recent Legal/Regulatory/Legislative developments affecting your business.  This will cover the major federal and state level actions including: dial around compensation, lifeline support, OSP Rate Cap increases, USF, FDOT, local ordinances, theft & vandalism prevention, FLEX ANI testing, payphone advertising regulations, and more.
